Last year, I started experimenting with multiple exposures, intentional camera movement and blending techniques, in-camera as well as in Photoshop. I am interested in these techniques because I wish to find a new language for my photographic work that will give me more creative freedom.
By building up layers of colour images - not unlike the building up of translucent layers of oil paint to create vibrancy and depth - I hope to create new landscapes that feel natural and exciting to me.
A selection of the experiments I have done this past year have been posted on my Facebook page and can be seen there (just click the Facebook icon on the bottom of my website pages). In the coming months, I will upload more examples on my website in a separate portfolio titled: “Experiments”.
